Guidelines for abstract submission for the 9th EURIPA Rural Health Forum

Abstracts Submission Instructions

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English, in the event’s platform;
  • Submitted abstracts must be original;
  • Abstracts previously published or presented at an international scientific meeting cannot be submitted;
  • Please select the appropriate format (oral, poster) and type (case report, review, practice report, quality, research or protocol) of your presentation;
  • The maximum length for the abstract title is 150 characters;
  • The maximum length for the abstract body is 2.500 characters;
  • Please indicate till six keywords (MeSH terms when available). Keywords must be separated by ';';
  • Tables and/or pictures are not accepted as part of the abstract;
  • Use only the formats available in the abstract submission form (fonts, alignment, etc.);
  • For each abstract, it should be registered first author's name and contact;
  • Case reports, reviews and practice reports can have a maximum of 5 authors. Quality, research and protocol abstracts can have a maximum of 8 authors;
  • Authors can’t be identified in abstract’s text.
 

Abstract Acceptance Deadline
 

The deadline for abstract submission is 31th July 2019.
 

Competing interests
 

All authors should declare their competing interests in the abstract submission platform, namely support from any organization for the submitted work, financial relationships with any organizations that might have an interest in the submitted work in the previous three years and/or relationships or activities that could appear to have influenced the submitted work.
 

Presentation format
 

  • Oral presentation can be made by using media resource, as PowerPoint or video, and has the maximum length of 10 minutes;
  • Poster presentation has to be done according to the exact dimension of 120cm x 90cm with vertical orientation and should be readable at the distance of 1,5 meters. Authors should send a digital version by email when asked to. The panel will select the best posters that will be discussed, which will be designated during the event.
 

Abstract organization
 

Please confirm the correct type of your presentation: case report, review, clinical practice, quality, protocol or research:
 
  • Case report: framework, case description, discussion and conclusion;
  • Review: grounding, aim(s), methodology, results/review, discussion, conclusion;
  • Practice report: introduction, aim(s), relevance, description, discussion and conclusion;
  • Quality: grounding, aim (s), methodology, results (at least two evaluations), discussion and conclusion;
  • Protocol: introduction, aim(s), methodology, discussion and conclusion;
  • Research: grounding, aim(s), methodology, results, discussion and conclusion.
 

Presentation terms
 

First author should be the presenter and he can only make one presentation for each thematic area. 
Inscription in the event is mandatory for presentation.
 

Panel and awards
 

The Scientific Committee of the event will designate a panel to evaluate and select abstracts and presentations. The panel will refuse any abstract that is not framed correctly in its subject area or that is considered irrelevant.
There will be an award for best oral presentation and other for best poster presentation in each thematic area. Awards and certificates will be announced and handed out in the closing ceremony. Authors that aren’t present at the ceremony, will only receive the certificate, but not the award.
